Wellbeing means being proactive in prioritising my mental and physical health in small ways, every day.
Movement. Every day I take time out for me, even if it's just a 30min walk, it gives me space to clear my head and keep my body strong.
I think in my early 20's when I realised that late nights and excessive alcohol consumption had such an impact on my health, specifically my immune system. I quickly realised that preventative health was much more enjoyable than dealing with constant illness.
I love listening to podcasts when I'm out walking, The ATP Project and Fx Medicine are two of my faves. They are excellent functional medicine resources that cover a variety of health topics.
Being resilient. I am grateful that by prioritising my physical and mental health, I am able to show up and handle the myriad of career, family and social pressures that every day life throws at me!
