Here’s what Cailie had to say about caring for her own wellbeing.

What does the term "Wellbeing" mean to you?

Wellbeing means being proactive in prioritising my mental and physical health in small ways, every day.

What’s the #1 thing you do for your wellbeing each day?

Movement. Every day I take time out for me, even if it's just a 30min walk, it gives me space to clear my head and keep my body strong.

Was there a turning point in your life when you decided to put your wellbeing first, or has it always been important to you?

I think in my early 20's when I realised that late nights and excessive alcohol consumption had such an impact on my health, specifically my immune system. I quickly realised that preventative health was much more enjoyable than dealing with constant illness.

Any favourite health resources you’d recommend to the community? Books, podcasts etc?

I love listening to podcasts when I'm out walking, The ATP Project and Fx Medicine are two of my faves. They are excellent functional medicine resources that cover a variety of health topics.

What is something that you really value that good health allows you to do?

Being resilient. I am grateful that by prioritising my physical and mental health, I am able to show up and handle the myriad of career, family and social pressures that every day life throws at me!
